FUFA has dismissed Police FC’s petition over Lugazi FC referring to Umar Kyebatala’s eligibility to attribute inside the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Closing month, the Lugazi eradicated Police FC 2-1 on the spherical of 32 stage of the Stanbic Uganda Cup with Kyebatala scoring every goals for Lugazi.
Police then filed a petition declare that Kyebatala was ineligible to play the competitors since he had already carried out for non-league aspect Soccer Classroom in the direction of Purple Ants inside the preliminary spherical.
FUFA mentioned that the rule solely applies to players registered with the federation for the opponents starting on the spherical of 64.
Kyebatala wasn’t a registered participant with FUFA as a Soccer Classroom participant and was eligible to play for Lugazi FC who registered him.
Lugazi will now battle with 2024 runners up NEC FC on Tuesday, seventeenth March at Lugogo for a spot inside the quarterfinals.
