Uganda Premier League side UPDF FC endorsed an annual value vary of Ug.Shs 3.8 billion for the season 2026/2027 at their Annual meeting that was held on Sunday at Ndere Cultural Centre in Kampala.
The navy side revealed that the value vary handed of UGX 3.8 Billion will cater for the UPDF FC, UPDF Girls FC, and the UPDF Junior Group (U17) subsequent season.
It have to be well-known that UPDF’s principal provide of funding is the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (MODVA) and Wazzalendo SACCO.
The navy plans to cope with the funding gaps deal with funding gaps by the use of partnerships and attracting new sponsors.
UPDF plans to invest further in recruiting top quality avid gamers, retaining key experience, and strengthening squads all through all teams.
The AGM was attended by representatives from the Federation of Uganda Soccer Associations (FUFA) and the Uganda Premier League (UPL), along with FUFA delegate Aisha Nalule and UPL Chief Authorities Officer Bernard Bainamani.
On the AGM, Brigadier Primary Richard Karemire was elected Chairman of the membership, taking over from Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Kulu, who beforehand served as chairman and may now work as a result of the Vice Chairman.
Lieutenant Sheldon Turyamureeba is the Chief Authorities Officer, altering Lance Corporal Walter Mambo.
