Bob Pettit, the primary man to obtain the NBA’s MVP (most respected participant) award, has died aged 93.
Pettit gained the award twice, in its first 12 months in 1955-56 and once more in 1958-59, when he topped the scoring charts in each seasons.
The Basketball Corridor of Fame confirmed Pettit’s demise, describing him as “a real big of the sport”.
He was additionally named an NBA All-Star in all 11 of his seasons and was the primary participant to succeed in 20,000 factors.
Having starred for Louisiana State College (LSU), Pettit was signed by Milwaukee Hawks within the draft in 1954.
